  • March, City’s PIT Count identifies 334 individuals experiencing homelessness (144 in 2018).
  • June, Red Deer Chamber of Commerce announces the Homelessness Taskforce initiative to study and recommend solutions.  The Taskforce is comprised of:

  • December, Recruitment begins for Permanent Board of Directors
  • July, Board completes Strategic Planning process
  • February, Permanent Board of Directors and Interim CEO announced.
  • July, Board completes Strategic Planning process
  • July, Foundation beings process to secure CRA Charitable Status
  • October, Homeless Foundation for Red Deer Region becomes Red Deer Homeless Foundation
